Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain sewer lines, drain systems, and plumbing fixtures on construction sites using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment
- Read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute plumbing layouts and mechanical systems
- Perform pipe threading, cutting, fitting, and assembly to ensure proper system connections
- Conduct inspections of plumbing systems to identify issues such as leaks or blockages and troubleshoot mechanical problems effectively
- Utilize welding skills when necessary for pipe repairs or system modifications in challenging environments
- Assist with remodeling projects by installing new plumbing components or upgrading existing systems in commercial or residential structures
- Operate heavy machinery such as trenchers or excavators when required for underground pipe installation or repair tasks
- Maintain safety standards on-site by adhering to OSHA regulations and using appropriate personal protective equipment at all times
Experience
- Proven experience in construction plumbing or related trades with a strong understanding of plumbing systems in commercial or residential settings
- Skilled in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams relevant to plumbing and mechanical installations
- Hands-on experience with pipe threading, welding, use of hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment operation
- Knowledge of HVAC systems, remodeling techniques, carpentry basics, and maintenance person skills is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining precision during installation or repair work
- Familiarity with construction site safety protocols and the ability to work effectively within team environments on active job sites
- Valid driver's license with commercial driving experience preferred for transportation between job sites
