Furniture Production Associate

Sam Moore Furniture, a division of Hooker Furnishings Corporation, is seeking a Furniture Production Associate to join our Assembler team at our Bedford, VA manufacturing facility.

Position Overview:
This role is responsible for assembling furniture components in a fast-paced production setting. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Assemble pre-cut wooden components into finished furniture frames using hand tools
- Organize materials and maintain workflow to meet daily production goals
- Follow work instructions, diagrams, and basic measurements accurately
- Perform simple calculations as needed during the assembly process
- Identify and resolve minor issues to maintain quality standards
- Remain on feet for extended periods, including walking, reaching, and handling materials throughout the shift
What We’re Looking For:
Successful candidates will typically:
- Be self-motivated and able to stay on task with minimal supervision
- Be comfortable working toward daily production targets
- Have prior experience in manufacturing, assembly, or a related field
- Possess strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Enjoy hands-on work and understanding how products come together
- Be able to lift and move items up to 50 lbs as needed
