Job Overview
Hooked on Books Childcare is seeking a passionate and energetic Part-Time Childcare Director / Program Manager to help lead and oversee our growing childcare programs. Responsibilities
- Support the planning, organization, and implementation of childcare programs
- Supervise and support teachers and assistants to maintain a positive team environment
- Ensure compliance with Michigan Child Care Licensing (LARA) regulations
- Assist with enrollment, attendance tracking, and parent communication
- Support curriculum planning with age-appropriate learning activities
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
- Help coordinate staff training and professional development
- Monitor classroom quality and support continuous program improvement
- Assist with before- and after-school programming
Qualifications
- Experience working in a licensed childcare center
- Knowledge of Michigan Child Care Licensing Rules preferred
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field preferred
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills with staff and families
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Passion for supporting children's learning and development

Pay: $28,558.00 - $51,800.00 per year
