Duties

• Operate the cash register (POS system) accurately to process sales transactions, returns, and exchanges while maintaining a balanced cash drawer.
• Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions about products, and assisting with product demos when needed.
• Handle cash, credit card payments, and other payment methods with precision, ensuring all transactions are completed smoothly and securely.
• Engage customers through upselling and suggestive selling to enhance their shopping experience and increase store sales.
• Maintain knowledge of current store products, merchandising standards, and promotional offers to inform customers effectively.
• Stock shelves as needed, organize merchandise displays, and assist in inventory management to ensure the sales floor remains attractive and well-organized.
• Follow phone etiquette protocols when answering inquiries or directing calls to ensure clear communication at all times.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred; familiarity with POS systems is highly advantageous.
• Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership skills in a retail environment is a plus.
• Bilingual abilities are desirable to serve diverse customer needs effectively.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly and professionally.
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and performing retail math calculations.
• Knowledge of retail store product offerings, merchandising principles, and cash register operations.
• Excellent customer service skills with an energetic attitude and a proactive approach to assisting shoppers.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced setting.
