ROLE OVERVIEW
Hook & Reel is seeking a reliable, energetic, and hardworking Busser/Dishwasher to support our front-of-house and kitchen teams in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This role is responsible for maintaining cleanliness throughout the restaurant, assisting servers with table turnover, and ensuring dishes and kitchen equipment are cleaned and organized to provide an excellent guest experience. Duties are consistent with common Hook & Reel and restaurant busser/dishwasher responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
- Clear and clean dining tables quickly and efficiently after guests leave
- Reset tables with silverware, napkins, condiments, and supplies
- Assist servers with maintaining dining room cleanliness and guest support
- Remove trash and keep work areas organized
- Sweep, mop, and maintain dining room, restroom, and service station cleanliness
- Wash dishes, utensils, cookware, trays, and kitchen equipment using dishwashing procedures
- Organize and properly store clean dishes and kitchen items
- Keep dishwashing and kitchen areas clean, stocked, and sanitary
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and health department standards
- Support team members and managers during busy periods
- Complete opening, running, and closing side work as assigned
Requirements:
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Restaurant experience preferred but not required
- Must be dependable and maintain good attendance
Schedule:
- Full-time and Part-time positions available
- Must be available nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
