Responsibilities
- Operate tow trucks, including flatbed and traditional models, to tow vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Perform vehicle recoveries, including vehicle mechanics for truck drivers and vehicle mechanics for truck drivers.
- Secure loads following cargo securement protocols to prevent damage during transit.
- Conduct basic vehicle troubleshooting, minor mechanical repairs, and automotive diagnostics as needed on-site.
- Safely load and unload vehicles onto tow trucks using proper techniques and equipment.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients and assisting with their needs professionally.
- Follow all safety procedures, traffic laws, and company policies during driving and vehicle recovery operations.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record; experience with commercial truck driving preferred.
- Proven experience in automotive repair, diagnostics, or mechanical troubleshooting.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, automotive diagnostics, and minor mechanical repairs.
- Familiarity with flatbed tow trucks, tow truck operation, and vehicle recovery towing techniques.
- Ability to perform safe vehicle loading onto tow trucks while adhering to cargo securement protocols.
- Excellent conflict management skills to handle challenging situations calmly and professionally.
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects, load/unload vehicles, and perform manual tasks regularly.
