Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive mechanical repairs on vehicles, including engine diagnostics, transmission repairs, suspension system servicing, brake repairs, and oil changes.
- Conduct body work repairs such as dent removal, panel replacement, welding, and painting to restore vehicle appearance and structural integrity.
- Utilize schematics and automotive electrical system diagrams to troubleshoot complex issues effectively.
- Repair and maintain diesel engines and heavy equipment mechanics as needed, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment proficiently to complete repairs efficiently.
- Conduct wheel alignments, tire services, shocks & struts replacements, and suspension adjustments for optimal vehicle performance.
- Diagnose automotive electrical systems using advanced diagnostics tools to identify faults accurately.
- Maintain detailed repair records and communicate effectively with customers about repair needs and timelines.
Requirements
- Proven experience working in the automotive repair industry with dealership experience preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems including powertrain, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and electrical components.
- Familiarity with ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), air brake systems, and diesel engine repair is highly desirable.
- Ability to read schematics and technical manuals for troubleshooting complex mechanical issues.
- Experience working with heavy equipment mechanics or GM vehicles is a plus.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and automotive diagnostic software.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to clients.
- Valid certifications related to automotive repair; ASE certification is advantageous but not mandatory.
