Position Type: Seasonal, Part-Time
Pay: Step 1 $16.51 per hour / Step 2: $17.66 per hour (depending on experience)
Schedule: Primarily evenings and weekends
Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Recreation Supervisor, the Recreation Aide supports the implementation of sports and recreational activities and ensures smooth operations at program sites. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with youth/adult sports and have a flexible schedule.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain accurate attendance records
Set up and manage program areas (facilities, equipment, spectators)
Build positive relationships with participants
Attend staff meetings and training sessions
Maintain cleanliness and organization of equipment and facilities
Set-up, event management, and breakdown/clean-up
Perform other related duties as assigned
Required Knowledge & Skills
Familiarity with sports rules (soccer, basketball, lacrosse, etc.)
Understanding of youth and teen recreation programming
Ability to interpret and apply program rules and policies
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Minimum Qualifications
Must be at least 16 years old by hire date
Experience working with youth and adults preferred
Must pass a criminal background check
