Position Title: Shipping 1 (Rotating Shift)

Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Shipper 1 to join our team. This position is responsible for accurately preparing, loading, and shipping finished paper products in accordance with customer orders and company standards. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, organized, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Pick, stage, and load finished paper products according to shipping orders and schedules.
- Verify product types, quantities, and condition to ensure accurate shipments.
- Operate forklifts, clamp trucks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Inspect products for damage before loading and report any issues immediately.
- Complete all required shipping paperwork and system entries accurately and on time.
- Communicate and coordinate with drivers, carriers, and warehouse personnel to ensure smooth shipping and receiving operations.
- Assist with unloading and receiving incoming shipments as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, adhering to all company safety protocols.
- Report equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or inventory discrepancies to the supervisor.
- Other duties as assigned by the supervisor or management.
Qualifications & Skills
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous shipping, warehouse, or material handling experience is a plus.
- Forklift certification or the ability to obtain certification required.
- Ability to read and interpret shipping documents and work orders.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory systems preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy products (up to 50 lbs).
- Comfortable working in an industrial warehouse environment.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong focus on safety and adherence to company policies.
Work Conditions
- May involve exposure to loud noises, dust, and varying temperatures.
- Requires standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods.
- Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
