What are the responsibilities and job description for the Scheduling Coordinator position at HOOD CONTAINER CORPORATION?
Hood Container Corporation is seeking a Production Scheduler to join our operations in Walker, MI. This role will be responsible for the planning and scheduling of materials and will coordinate with commercial, production, and maintenance teams to improve overall effectiveness & efficiency.
How You Will Contribute:
- Daily scheduling of the converting equipment using Amtech computer systems
- Work collaboratively with customer service and manufacturing teams to develop and balance a plant production schedule for the entire plant
- Work closely with customer service and manufacturing to communicate production status, required resources, manage overruns, shortages, ship and delivery dates
- Partners and communicates with internal/external suppliers to coordinate and order corrugated sheets
- Maximize plant throughput while balancing customer requirements and manufacturing capability
- Leads the daily production meeting
- Maintains daily machine schedules
- Maintains accuracy of counts and completion of work
- Clarifications of Change alerts generated by Sales service and verification of acknowledgement
- Performs various other job duties and projects as assigned
What it Takes:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Effective written & verbal communication skills
- Organized and detail oriented
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word
What will put you ahead:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- Five or more years of project management or scheduling experience
- Five or more years of corrugated experience
- Experience with computer systems, Amtech Preferred
