What We’re Searching for:
Hood Container is seeking a data driven and change minded Inventory Coordinator for our Walker, MI plant. They will play a critical role in maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting optimal warehouse operations. Strong organizational, teamwork, and self-starter skills will lead you to success in this role.
How you will contribute:
- Manage all inventory transactions, trouble shoot errors and identify root causes and supply and implement possible solutions to Management team.
- Review all inventory including raw goods, identify errors, and direct /follow up on corrections needed.
- Support improvements in accuracy and efficiency in all plant-wide inventory processes.
- Accurately generate required month-end reporting.
- Manage and direct physical inventories as needed.
- Ensure all inventory is reported to customers as requested.
- Review and manage aged and obsolete inventory monthly with scheduler and process disposals.
- Support Management with all audits.
What it takes:
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Organized and detail oriented
- Strong interpersonal communication and negotiation skills.
- Excellent mathematical skills, computer literate, and data driven.
- Background in quality and inventory roles.
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
- Work overtime and odd shifts as necessary to meet production requirements
- Ability to write, audit, and evaluate procedures and inventory systems for compliance standards.
- Ability to obtain and maintain hi-lo certification.
