Responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical and electrical equipment to minimize downtime and ensure safe, efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow all safety policies and practice safe work habits at all times.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems.
- Diagnose and repair equipment issues, including machinery, motors, control panels, and industrial systems.
- Troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs), A/C and D/C drives, HMIs, VFDs, and control systems.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Set up, align, and adjust equipment foroptimalperformance and product quality.
- Utilize maintenance software to plan, schedule, track, and complete work.
- Maintain equipment to maximize uptime, capacity, and efficiency.
- Collaborate withmaintenance and production teams to minimize downtime, especially during overnight/3rd shift operations.
- Assistwith installation, commissioning, and upgrades of new equipment.
- Maintainaccuratedocumentation of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used.
- Train and support other maintenance team members on procedures and qualifications.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas.
- Work flexible hours, including overnight or 3rd shift as needed.
- Follow all company policies and performadditionalduties as assigned.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical and mechanical equipment.
- Experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting.
- Proficiencywith HMIs, VFDs, operator interfaces, and power distribution systems.
- Familiarity with predictive maintenance technologies, including vibration analysis.
- Experience in a corrugated box plant or paper industry preferred.
- Ability to read and understand technical documentation and schematics.
- Experience using maintenance management software systems.
- PLC programming certification
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
- NFPA 70E Electrical Safety Training
- Strongunderstanding of equipment design, functionality, and performance optimization
- Knowledge of production processes and product specifications
- Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
- Ability to plan, prioritize, and execute maintenance tasks effectively
- Regularly stand, walk, talk, or hear.
- Frequently use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
- Utilize specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Work on small or tight spaces.
- Work in high temperature environment.
