Hood Container Corporation is seeking a motivated Assistant Operator to support the operation of rotary die cutter on 1st shift at 8201 National Turnpike Louisville, Ky. 40214.

What You’ll Do
- Assist the Machine Operator in running the rotary die cutter safely and efficiently to meet production goals.
- Support machine setups, adjustments, and changeovers based on job specifications.
- Help stage materials, including corrugated sheets, inks, and tooling, for upcoming jobs.
- Assist in monitoring print quality, registration, ink coverage, folding, and gluing performance.
- Perform basic quality checks to ensure products meet customer specifications.
- Remove finished product from the machine and stack, bundle, or palletize as required.
- Support troubleshooting efforts and communicate any machine or quality issues to the Operator or Supervisor.
- Maintain accurate production, waste, and downtime documentation as directed.
- Assist with housekeeping, clean-up, and 5S activities to maintain a safe and organized work area.
- Follow all safety policies and procedures, including Lockout/Tagout, PPE, and safe material handling.
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or corrugated environment preferred.
- Experience working around converting equipment is a plus.
- Ability to read basic work instructions and job tickets.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn machine operations.
- Ability to follow directions and work effectively as part of a team.
- Basic computer skills for production tracking and documentation.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 45 lbs.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, noisy, industrial environment with temperatures ranging from 40°F to 120°F.
- Ability to work 1st shift and overtime as needed.
