Shift: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Schedule: Monday–Friday, Days, 5x7.5s
Weekly Hours: 37.5 OR 40 (depending on operational need)
Duration: 14 Weeks

Job Description:
Under varying levels of supervision, conducts, facilitates, develops, and monitors activities related to the surveillance, investigation, analysis, interpretation, reporting, prevention, and control of infections and communicable diseases. Participates in assessing, implementing, and maintaining a culture of safety across the continuum of care by performing a broad range of infection prevention and control functions. Supports the delivery of safe, patient-centered, quality care and collaborates with various departments to improve patient outcomes and experience. Ensures compliance with applicable local, state, and federal regulations and infection control standards.

Responsibilities/Duties:

• Conduct infection surveillance, investigation, and reporting activities
• Analyze and interpret infection-related data and trends
• Develop and implement infection prevention and control strategies
• Monitor compliance with infection control standards and regulations
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient safety and outcomes
• Support quality improvement initiatives related to infection prevention
• Educate healthcare personnel on infection prevention practices
• Maintain accurate documentation and reporting of infection control activities

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of satisfactory clinical experience or experience in infection prevention and control, healthcare epidemiology, or a related field in a hospital or healthcare setting
• Current Certification in Infection Prevention and Control (CIC) issued by the Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology (CBIC)
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Epidemiology, Microbiology, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, Nursing, or a related discipline
