Seeking a skilled Infrastructure Technical Specialist (ITS) with expertise in AWS, AWS VDI, and FileCloud administration. This role serves as the primary administrator for a cloud-based environment, supporting key platforms including FileCloud and Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI).
The position is responsible for ensuring reliable operations, system security, user support, and cloud infrastructure management across enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as FileCloud administrator, handling user onboarding, troubleshooting, and technical support
- Manage AWS infrastructure supporting Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) environments
- Monitor and maintain cloud systems for performance, availability, and security
- Perform system upgrades, patching, and troubleshooting (including on-call support)
- Ensure adherence to security policies, compliance standards, and best practices
- Provide clear status updates and collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Work independently with minimal supervision
- Proactively learn and adapt to new systems, tools, and business processes
Required Skills & Experience
- Experience as a FileCloud administrator (user management, troubleshooting, support)
- Strong experience managing AWS infrastructure and VDI environments
- Knowledge of system security methods, practices, and compliance standards
- Experience in cloud adoption, including:
- Application readiness assessment
- Environment prototyping
- Server builds
- Data migration
- Experience as an enterprise systems administrator in client/server environments
- Experience with deployment automation tools
- Experience in customer-facing support or consulting roles
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
- Experience designing and supporting distributed cloud architectures
- Experience troubleshooting complex distributed systems (performance, connectivity, monitoring)
- Strong knowledge of:
- Networking
- Storage systems
- Hardware and software infrastructure
- Windows and Linux administration
- Command Line Interface (CLI) tools
- Experience with virtual machine (VM) infrastructure (1–2 years minimum)
- Performance tuning of cloud environments
- Strong understanding of infrastructure security and IT best practices
- Familiarity with application environments such as Java and .NET
- Additional Requirements
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical teams
- Ability to handle on-call support, including nights and weekends for patching and troubleshooting
- Demonstrated initiative in learning new systems and technologies
