We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Foreman specializing in metal stud framing and drywall systems. The Superintendent will oversee daily field operations, manage crews and subcontractors, ensure safety compliance, maintain schedules, and deliver high-quality finishes on commercial and/or residential construction projects. This role requires excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills with a strong technical knowledge of interior/exterior wall systems.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate all field activities related to metal stud framing and drywall installation.
- Plan, schedule, and oversee crew assignments, subcontractors, and material deliveries.
- Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to specification.
- Read and interpret construction documents, shop drawings, and specifications.
- Conduct quality control inspections to maintain workmanship and code compliance.
- Enforce company and OSHA safety policies; lead daily/weekly safety meetings.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other trades to resolve field issues.
- Track productivity, manpower, and progress reporting to management.
- Manage inventory, tools, and equipment assigned to the project.
- Train, mentor, and motivate field staff to achieve project goals.
- Provide exceptional leadership to crew members and subcontractors.
- Maintaining relationships with general contractors and vendors.
Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in metal stud framing and drywall construction, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of commercial construction practices, building codes, and safety regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and shop drawings.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency with construction scheduling and project management software (Procore, Fieldwire , etc. a plus).
- OSHA 30 certification preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
