What are the responsibilities and job description for the Food Runner position at Hong Hot Pot and BBQ?
Responsibilities:
- Deliver food orders from the kitchen to customers' tables promptly and accurately
- Ensure all food items are properly garnished and presented before serving
- Assist in food preparation tasks, such as cutting fruits and vegetables or assembling appetizers
- Communicate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and address any customer requests or modifications
- Clear tables and assist with bussing duties as needed
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing any concerns or questions from customers
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Basic culinary skills and familiarity with kitchen operations
- Familiarity with Aloha POS system or similar point-of-sale software is a plus
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with customers and kitchen staff
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in order delivery and presentation
