We are looking for a passionate, self-driven, ambitious, and skilled individual to join our Performance Materials and Technologies (PMT) Finance Analytics & Systems organization as a Sr. Analytics Professional in Houston, TX OR Des Plaines, IL.
As a critical member of this $10 Billion organization, you will gain tremendous visibility to leaders by playing a key role in the development and deployment of the PMT EDW Data platform. Gaining a solid technical understanding of the ERPs, BW Reporting, and peripheral systems (e.g., CRMs) of the organization will also give you the opportunity to lead impactful process improvement and change management projects. You will also be asked to participate in key strategic sessions to help shape the Digital Transformation roadmap: your proactiveness in helping us make the right strategic decisions will be expected.
This position will directly partner with the Finance Digitization team, the IT Center of Expertise (CoE), PMT Finance and senior business leadership at the PMT level.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Proactively acquire an understanding, and knowledge, of the multiple systems utilized across the Honeywell enterprise, with focus on PMT. Objective is to become a well-known advisor, who can help customers, peers, and leaders when a trusted expert is needed.
- Works with communities and finance teams to increase efficiencies and lead special projects to assist in improving access to financial data.
- Analyzes the support needed by the users and determines if the issue can be resolved by the support or a technical team
- Perform finance data mining to support interdepartmental analytics and to improve operational efficiency
- Serves as a liaison between Finance and IT
Proactively identify material reporting and processes that can be simplified, automated, optimized, decommissioned, or transformed. - Identify and share data analysis strategies and anticipate future trends
- Understand business hierarchies and Master Data elements to work closely with and influence the Data Management team as new capabilities are developed.
Participate in high visibility ad-hoc projects and requests involving Analytics, system consolidations, or financial reporting needs. - Direct, compelling, and professional communication with clarity at all levels.
Execute EDW deployment project testing against requirements and provide Go / No Go recommendations for acceptance criteria - Actively participate with scrum team and participate in daily scrum calls
- Facilitates a system test prior to handover to business testing (UAT)
- Coordinate end user testing for each sprint deliverable as required (UAT)
- Ensures deliverables have been approved by business / leadership
- Communicates progress regularly to business stakeholders
