Individual will be responsible for ensuring materials and finished goods shipments are packaged correctly to specification and routed according to the sales orders. Individuals will finalize shipment documentation and carrier requirements as the order entry specification state and as outlined in the worksheet and/or acknowledgement forms. Position will be flexible and cross-functional to allow for Final Inspection operating in all Packaging departments, Receiving, Ta Reclaim and production assembly when needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Verifies accuracy of incoming shipments by comparing items and quantities unloaded against documents.
- Checks for damaged goods and initiates damage claims as necessary. Work with Production and IQA to identify problems with incoming materials.
- Operate a forklift and pallet jack.
- Ensure that problems with suppliers are communicated to Commodities Management in a timely basis.
- Understand shipment flow requirements, systems and equipment from finished goods inventory storage through carrier package receipt. (SAP, Mii and Carrier Software (UPS, FedEx, Expeditors etc)…..)
- Responsible for completing and maintaining a set of standard documents for each order shipped, to include; acknowledgement forms, packing list, international shipping documents, packaging labeling and waybills.
- Responsible for receiving Bill of Material items into the facility.
- Provide clerical and physical task support in connection with receiving office supplies, packages and equipment.
- Use packaging equipment such as bar sealers, electronic balance, cleaning racks, ultrasonic and argon/vacuum equipment.
- Providing consistent communication with Truck Carriers and Onsite support groups.
- Performs daily job functions in accordance with policies from: EH&S, Quality
- Support and participate in all Structured Safety Process activities for this job classification, as outlined in the site SSP Manual.
- Support the Honeywell Operating System (HOS) by:
- Seeking opportunities for improvement and taking corrective action on his/her own initiative
- Actively participating in the continuous improvement process, owning their idea through the PDCA cycle, including asking co-workers for their input
- Immediately resolving a quality issue or seeking technical expertise to resolve the issue, if necessary
- Perform 5S and housekeeping duties as required
