The Global IT Asset Product and Service Owner is responsible for the daily and long-term strategic management of software and technology-related hardware within the organization. This includes planning, monitoring, and recording software license and/or hardware assets to ensure compliance with vendor contracts.
The individual will assist in forming procurement strategies to optimize technology spend across the organization. The Global IT Asset Manager will also develop and implement procedures for tracking company assets to oversee quality control throughout their lifecycles. It is a high-visibility position, with regular engagement with leadership team and Senior Management.
Job Responsibilities
- Service management concepts and ITIL standards with hands-on experience in the design, build test and implementation w/ ServiceNow ITAM enterprise solutions (SAMPro and HAMPro)
- Responsible for Software Asset Management (SAM) and Hardware Asset Management (HAM) policies, procedures and best practices
- Leads development and implementation of the ITAM platform project including planning & implementation
- Collaborate with ITAM Process Owner and Analysts to create design specifications based on identified business requirements; analyze business problems to design solutions.
- Analyzing product performance and redesigning as required
- Designing, developing and managing activities from product definition & planning to production and release
- Developing the product strategy and roadmaps
- Managing prioritization and trade-offs between customer experience, business impact, performance, and post-launch support
- Tests complex code changes for specific requirements and collaborates with various stakeholders to create test plans and oversee UAT testing
- Performs root cause analysis, develops action plans and recommends prioritization of backlog items
- Independently handles incident tickets and service requests related to ITAM implementations
- Utilizes relevant technologies in the design, develop, document, and support integration solutions
- Creates basic dashboards and reporting in ServiceNow to support SAM/HAM governance and operational activities
- Provide leadership by designing and executing strategic asset management related policies, procedures, and processes.
- Ensure Asset Management service enables stakeholders to achieve business goals efficiently and effectively. Provide direction regarding all aspects of Asset Management support.
- Oversee the development of ITAM policies and procedures that will improve the effectiveness of IT Asset Management.
- Build ITAM platform roadmap that help with effective management of SW & HW assets – a platform and process to support cradle to grave asset management process (including proper disposal)
- Work with IT to create SW site that will automate the push of SW down to end users through ServiceNow form with management approval
- Acts as key point of contact for Asset Management policies and procedures
