This position will
support Asset/Operational Strategy and Management needs within the Advanced
Materials (AM) businesses, reporting to Director Strategic Planning. This
position will work closely under direction of Sr. Strategic Planning Managers
and work with global business leaders, representatives from Manufacturing,
Procurement, Engineering, and Technology, Finance, M&A, and the AM
Leadership Team to maximize profitability of overall business operations, the
return on investment and invested capital of the AM asset base, support
connecting Strategy to Business Execution, drive strategic supply decisions and
optimization, capacity investments as well as asset repositioning or
divestiture decisions required to improve the ROI on investments .This role is
designed to be an entry level support role to Sr. Strategy Managers in this
function and be a feeder role for larger business roles depending on the
candidate’s experience and performance.
Supply
Chain Optimization
Responsible for supporting the Core Strategy Team focused on maximization of return on investment across the existing AM asset base including strategic supply decisions, identifying Cost Optimization Opportunities, preparing Capacity Investment Cases, Developing Portfolio Management Metrics, Supporting Capital Investment or Reinvestment Decision Making
- Support Asset Addition/Deletion Investment Cases and cases that overall affect Manufacturing Capacity or geographic Diversity
- Support asset light manufacturing strategy including strategic sourcing, tolling or joint ventures.
- Support Visualization of Long-Term Supply/Demand Balances and strategy for fulfilling or avoiding gaps.
- Responsible for supporting strategic supply transition pipeline, asset repositioning, or asset divestitures.
- Responsible for supporting the generation Cost of Goods Sold Productivity Projects and supporting ESG Project Analysis.
Supporting Resiliency Analysis and Improvement of Global Supply Chain - Responsible for supporting the Asset and Operational Strategy Team with presentations for AM Leadership Team, and PMT Leadership Team (via Business Decision Week “BDW”) with well written and/or oral presentations with necessary information and supporting analyses to make appropriate business investment decisions.
Strategy
- Supports Team members providing strategic direction regarding New Product Innovation “NPI” and Break Through Initiatives “BTI” make vs buy, potential new ventures and when necessary, negotiates contracts with third party suppliers/providers/partners.
- Responsible for helping Team connect STRAP to Execution for Expansions, Contractions, Diversifications, Cost Optimization, Organic/Inorganically
- Responsible for supporting Market Development, Risk Management, and Financial Impact Ownership of Non-Core products- By Products/Co-Products
- Support Annual STRAP Process with Identification and Support of Expansion Investment/Productivity impact over time.
- Support Core Team evaluating Joint Venture or 3rd Party Supply Development Investments/Business Cases.
Program Management
- Manages data sharing and cross-functional projects meant to strengthen the supply side of the Advanced Materials Businesses
- Business lead for functions (Manufacturing, Procurement, ISC, HSE, Engineering, Finance, HR) in Execution of Strategy for Capacity Expansions
