Be part of a team that applies its expertise and knowledge to mechanical material handling projects, finding innovative, cost-effective means to improve techniques, procedures, products and technologies for all USS material handling solutions. You will design machinery to meet customer needs, product quality, manufacturability, new module and system development, prototype builds, testing, and as necessary, lead a team of other design engineers to execute on larger projects. Working in conjunction with a project manager for each job, you will develop the designs necessary to support customer solutions and will be integral in securing present and future business by consistently meeting or exceeding Voice of Customer requirements.

- CAD based modeling (SolidWorks 3D, AutoCAD 2D)
- Engineering analysis
- Component selection
-Electromechanical drives, pneumatics, sensors.
- Concept, system, and design presentation
- Full assembly and detailed design and documentation
- GD&T, tolerance stack-up analysis
- Stress modeling and analysis (Component FEA)
- Engineering cost estimation
- Value engineering (DFMAT)
- Production support of module builds
- Customer acceptance
- Drive design project success across multiple levels
