Electro-Mechanical Advanced Project Engineer

You will report directly to our Engineering Manager and you’ll work out of our Tempe, AZ location on a Hybrid work schedule.
In this role, you will significantly impact the success of our engineering initiatives by overseeing project planning, execution, and performance monitoring, while ensuring adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Leads low-complexity projects with typically small-sized teams (less than 5 members) and annual program/project cost budget (less than $1M) for New Product Development (NPD), New Product Introduction (NPI)/Low-Rate Initial Production (LRIP), and/or In-Service Related (IRB) for Motion Control Systems (MCS) products including technical leadership for the program/project
• Program/project management application skills and business tools/applications to plan/maintain/control cost, schedule, resource allocation, risks, and milestones to Integrated Master Schedule (IMS)
• Cost Account Management (CAM) skills in the SAP environment
• Knowledge of system and component requirements analysis and decomposition
• Knowledge of fundamental control architecture and design
• Knowledge of Physics-based model development and system design
• Able to lead investigation of small-to-medium complexity technical issues to identify root cause and corrective action including planning, execution, and resolution
• Knowledge of Electro-Mechanical systems Validation & Verification (V&V) for testing, documentation, and analysis to meet program/project objectives
• Customer and supplier technical interface
• Use good communication skills to provide clarity and succinct communication of project issues
• Work with functional leaders to prioritize resources and implement project objectives
• Develop cost, schedule, and risk development and estimation to support existing programs/projects and/or individual components and sub-component assemblies
• Less than 10% of domestic US travel and/or less than 2% of international travel (if necessary)
