What are the responsibilities and job description for the Advanced Electrical Engineer position at Honeywell?
Honeywell Intelligrated is seeking an Advanced Electrical Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will lead a team of Electrical Engineers to design, execute, and commission Electrical Engineering scope of material handling projects and customer-based programs.
You will report directly to our Sr Electrical Engineering Supervisor and work out of our Mason, OH location on a hybrid basis. Note: for the first 90 days, new hires must be prepared to work onsite 100% M-F.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve project execution risks.
- Interface with customers to develop high-quality designs that meet customer needs.
- Work with project team to manage project deliverables, tasks, schedules, and financials.
- Prioritize tasks based on schedule requirements.
- Help enforce department processes onto projects.
- Create electrical model drawings, electrical device layout drawings, e-stop drawings, network drawings, including schematic drawings by panel
- Conduct and Participate in System Design Reviews. Provide onsite, remote and escalation support for projects and coordinate with other project engineering disciplines to identify and resolve issues.
- Provide technical expertise and guide team. Lead the electrical device functionality check on project site.
- Diagnose installation and electrical device issues in the field and provide steps toward resolution.
- Monitor project phasing and adhere to project specifications while maintaining as sold scope.
- Review the client Scope of Work/ Request for Proposal/ Request for Quote and communicate and resolve all internal and customer reported issues.
- Attend weekly team meetings, review scheduled tasks, and report project progress on a regular basis.
- Develop buyout configuration and motor calculation worksheets
- Create permit drawings
- Order control panels, electrical field devices, and electrical buyouts
- Set up and testing electrical prototypes
- Develop electrical spare parts list and site readiness checklist
- Set up electrical networks and Profibus, performing I/O checkout and commissioning, labeling electrical devices, creating electrical punch list for installation, and troubleshooting electrical product issues on site
- Provide as-built technical documentation.
