Job Summary
Join the Honeywell GC team as a Golf Shop Attendant, where you will utilize your customer service skills to create memorable experiences for our members and guests. In this position you will assist with all aspects in and around the clubhouse. Your energy will help foster a welcoming atmosphere, ensuring every member and guest feels valued and well taken care of. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop retail and customer service expertise in a fast paced setting.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide exceptional customer service to enhance their visit
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system for sales transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing
- Maintain phone etiquette when answering inquiries or making reservations, ensuring clear communication
- Work outside when needed including cleaning golf carts, picking the practice facility, and setting up/tearing down for events.
- Assist with the food beverage operation including selling drinks, snacks, and alcohol (Must have a current liquor license or be of age to obtain one)
- Support retail sales efforts by promoting special offers and new products to boost revenue
- Ensure the clubhouse remains tidy and inviting by performing regular cleaning and organization tasks
Skills
- Proficiency with POS systems and cash handling procedures for accurate transactions
- Ability to perform retail math accurately
- Strong communication skills to engage with diverse customers in a friendly manner
- Excellent phone etiquette for handling reservations, inquiries, and customer support calls
- Ability to multi task and jump from one area to another seamlessly
Availability
- Must be willing to work morning, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Hours are predominately in the early afternoon until the evening, but can be flexible.
- This is a seasonal position that usually last from late March until the end of October. A year round position may be available depending on experience and qualifications.
Compensation
- Bi weekly of pay of $12-$16 an hour
- 20-35 hours per week. More hours available if interested.
- Golf course access including the ability to play the golf course with use of a golf cart, and access to the practice facilities.
