What are the responsibilities and job description for the Golf Shop Attendant/Food and Beverage Lead position at Honeywell Golf Course?
Position Summary
The Golf Shop Attendant & F&B Lead is a dual role that will focus first on assisting with the day to day operations of the Honeywell Golf Course and will also manage a small food and beverage operation within the club house.
Golf Shop Operations
- Guest Relations: Manage the daily tee sheet, process greens fees, and provide a warm, professional welcome to all guests.
- Point of Sale: Accurately handle cash and credit transactions for golf rounds, rentals, and merchandise.
- Daily Workflow: Coordinate with the outside services team to ensure golf carts are staged and the driving range is ready for play.
- Opening and Closing-This position must be able to able to effectively open and close the golf shop.
2. Food & Beverage Leadership
- Ordering-Complete weekly order guides to ensure product is on hand for the golf play level for that time of year.
- Quality Control: Monitor food presentation and beverage service to ensure consistency and guest satisfaction.
- Cleanliness-Ensure the Food and Beverage operation is clean and organized.
- Inventory Support: Prepare a monthly profit and loss statement and be able to communicate any losses to Director of Golf.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: While golf shop experience is not necessary you must posses a strong understanding what the game of golf is. Must understand tee times, pace of play, and have a general understanding of golf merchandise. Experience in food service and some general knowledge of inventory management is required.
- Technical Skills: Experience with POS systems.
- Certifications: Must hold (or obtain) a Alcohol Service Permit
Work Environment & Physical Demands
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays early morning and late evenings. While this a year round position the ideal candidate will plan to work 35-45 hours during peak season March-October and 20-25 hours in the offseason November-February
- Ability to stand and walk for the duration of a shift.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs (moving pallets, crates, or golf bags).
- Capacity to multitask in a loud, high-traffic environment.
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
