Job Description
As a Sr. Mfg. Engineer Technician here at Honeywell, you will play a key role in supporting manufacturing engineering activities within the Integrated Supply Chain. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient production processes, troubleshoot manufacturing issues, and implement continuous improvement initiatives that enhance product quality and operational efficiency. You will report directly to our Senor Quality Control Supervisor, and you’ll work out of our South Bend, IN location on an On-site work schedule. In this role, you will impact the seamless integration of manufacturing processes within the supply chain, contributing to timely delivery and high-quality products that meet customer expectations and drive business success.
You will support the NDT scope of work on legacy platforms, and on emerging platforms, and other new programs. You will perform engineering evaluation including defect analysis, nondestructive testing (NDT) analysis, and inspection (when inspection is required must have a minimum NAS-410 Level 2 certification). Prepare, revise, review and approve Non-destructive technique sheets including evaluation of supplier techniques and procedures. Prepare and review engineering specifications. Develop and evaluate, and assist in the implementation of new equipment and technology. Design and evaluate inspection reference standards. Provide technical support to manufacturing, engineering, programs, field personnel, and suppliers. Audit internal the NDT inspection facility. Other duties may include participating in the development of NDT training course material for level 1s and 2s. Testing and certifying NDT level 1s and 2s, in accordance with NAS410 and company requirements (HA NDE-001).

- Serve as the Site Level 3 / SCA

Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
- Hold at NAS-410 Level 3 certification in Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection (PT)
WE VALUE
- Experience with Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection (FPI) method and equipment
- Experience with NDT of castings and weldments
- Familiarity with industry NDT standards (AMS, ASTM,…)
- Familiarity with AS9100, and Nadcap audit requirements for NDT and QMS
