As a Government Compliance Sr Financial Analyst, you will hold a critical role in ensuring compliance with government regulations as the liaison between Honeywell and the Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) and the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA).
You will be responsible for analyzing financial data, computing government rate packages, preparing audit responses, and providing insights to support strategic decision-making. Your expertise in government compliance, financial analysis, and audit response will be instrumental in driving the success of our government contracts and ensuring financial transparency and accountability.
You will report directly to our Director of Government Compliance and Finance, and you’ll work out of our Clearwater, FL, Minneapolis, MN, or Phoenix, AZ location on a Hybrid work schedule.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Responsibilities
- Analyzing financial data and preparing reports to support decisionmaking
- Monitoring and forecasting financial performance, identifying trends and potential risks
- Collaborating with crossfunctional teams to develop and implement financial strategies
- Assisting in budgeting and forecasting processes
- Conducting financial analysis and providing recommendations for cost savings and process improvements
QUALIFICATIONS
- Responsible for the analysis and preparation of Incurred Cost Proposals and unallowable reviews pertaining to final claimed cost.
- Responsible for the preparation of forward pricing rate proposals and the primary interface with DCAA audit of these proposals.
- Responsible for the preparation of the quarterly Rate Monitorship Report, including variance analysis, data analytics and trending.
- Supports requests for information pertaining to regulatory matters with internal and external customers.
- Ongoing interaction and partnership with cross functional teams related to Government Compliance and Finance matters, reinforcing awareness through training, preparing white papers and testing internal controls.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Business, with an emphasis in Accounting or Finance.
- Five plus years of accounting/financial analysis experience.
- Must be a US Citizen due to contractual requirements.
- Strong SAP experience.
- Strong personal computer skills with Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
- Experience with FAR, CAS and U.S. Government Compliance is desired.
- Excellent communication skills, written and oral.
- CPA and/or Government Contract Accounting considered a plus.
- Strong financial and business analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Independent, self-starter, with a strong work ethic, high degree of motivation and the ability to contribute to a positive team attitude.
- Strong bias for action; results oriented with an ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and team across organizational or functional boundaries.
- Six Sigma certified or trained preferred.
