Senior Advanced Quality Engineer

Job Description

As a Sr Advanced Quality Engineer here at Honeywell, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of quality across our aerospace products. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving continuous improvement initiatives and fostering strong partnerships with our suppliers and internal teams. You will report directly to our Quality Engineering Director and you’ll work at our Tempe location onsite. In this role, you will impact the future of Honeywell by championing operational excellence strategies to improve quality and delivery early in the development and transition process. You will drive rapid Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations to prevent defects and enhance the quality culture through coaching and technical engagement.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute quality assurance strategies to ensure compliance with aerospace standards and regulations.
• Work directly with the customer on a daily basis.
• Conduct compliant process audits, assist in flowing customer, supplier and manufacturing operations requirements through the Honeywell production facilities, and provide analysis on customer, supplier and product performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve quality issues in products and processes.
• Conduct root cause analysis and drive corrective actions to address any quality issues.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality control systems and processes.
• Provide technical guidance and support to the team in resolving quality-related issues.
• Implement quality improvement projects and initiatives to enhance product quality and customer satisfaction.
  
  

Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE

• 5 years of experience in Quality Engineering / Assurance
• Comprehensive knowledge of advanced quality engineering practices and aerospace regulations.
• Proficiency in quality tools and methodologies such as Six Sigma/Lean, Defect Prevention, and Root Cause Analysis.
• Experience in supporting manufacturing cells, suppliers, customers and their quality requirements.
