Job Description
As a Principal Software Engineer/Architect – PLM & Digital Engineering you will be responsible for understanding requirements/problem statements from business functions like PLM, product engineering, MBSE and building digital thread processes. This role is responsible for managing enterprise-wide PLM platforms, Digital thread platforms. Responsibility also includes working closely with offshore/outsourced resources for application development, support, and optimization. You will own and lead the technical capability evaluation of PLM and extended MBE applications in the market that could potentially meet business requirements, preferred business applications and develop architecture to onboard it, and integrate it with other Honeywell on-premises plus cloud-hosted as applicable.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, and optimization of comprehensive PLM/ MBSE/ Digital thread solutions. Candidates should possess approximately 10 plus years of experience in 1- 2 systems of the PLM /MBSE / Digital Thread systems such as Teamcenter PLM, Cameo, Syndeia and related tools and will play a pivotal role in Teamcenter Integration projects, ensuring technical solutions are aligned with business objectives and effectively address organizational requirements.

Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Delivery of global PLM (Teamcenter) and MBE solutions (Cameo, Syndeia or related systems) for Honeywell Aerospace. Work with the functions and Strategic Business Groups (SBGs) to determine lead management optimization and partner with engineering teams in investment priorities.
- Create, build, and deploy scalable MBSE system models that are tailored to meet business needs.
- Execute all phases of Teamcenter PLM projects: requirements gathering, system design, development, testing, and deployment.
- Ensure IT systems and applications meet the requirements of the businesses and their processes. Document architectures for platform and development teams in conjunction with Solution Architects.
- Ensure alignment and support of all critical systems relative to security and data privacy policies and standards inclusive of accessibility, vulnerability, and website inventory management.
- Ensure seamless integration of Teamcenter with CAD and ERP systems (e.g., SAP).
- Architect solutions for complex integrations, including BOM management, Change Management, CAD & ERP integrations.
- Optimize existing Teamcenter environments for performance, scalability, and usability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (business SMEs) to deliver value-driven solutions.
- Translate business objectives into technical designs ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Establish PLM Integration standards, governance frameworks, and compliance policies.
- Stay updated on Siemens Teamcenter advancements and recommend innovative solutions.
YOU MUST HAVE
- Education: A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 10 years of experience in PLM systems with a strong focus on Siemens Teamcenter and any digital thread platform tools
- Proven track record in implementing and managing large-scale Teamcenter PLM projects.
- Deep knowledge of Teamcenter architecture, modules include Active Workspace, Access Manager, Workflow designer, BOM, Classification, Change Management, Supplier Collaboration / Supplier Connect and Customization.
- Good knowledge of Digital thread tools like Syndeia, etc or MBSE tools like Cameo
- Expertise in PLM-ERP integrations, particularly Teamcenter-SAP interfaces.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and excellent communication skills for stakeholder interaction
