Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for updating internal processes to increase Information Security Team efficiencies.
- Will document our current and future Linux, Cisco, and Microsoft network architectures and work closely with our Information Systems Security Manager and Facility Security Officer to coordinate networking issues affecting our Production efforts.
- Will work daily to develop and update our robust cybersecurity policies that keep our systems secure.
- Supporting Operational Requirements to include troubleshooting/triage of customer IT tickets.
- Will administer the implementation of security measures to ensure compliance with government authorization requirements.
- Will maintain and administer our network using tools such as Trellix, Splunk, and Veritas Backup Exec, and Nessus.
- Will monitor and troubleshoot our closed Windows Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS) network environment.
- Reviewing and auditing event logs, creating system backups, monitoring system performance and maintaining system security and overall compliance.
- Oversight of our Hypervisor Servers running under VMWare
- Knowledge on the use of STIG Viewer and SCAP, as well as Creating OS/SW baselines.
- Ability to use Powershell scripting to accomplish/automate tasks.

- Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability scans to identify potential security vulnerabilities
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to design and implement security solutions
- Provide guidance on security best practices and ensure compliance with industry regulations
- Stay uptodate with the latest security trends and technologies
YOU MUST HAVE
- 4 or more years of experience cyber security in a DoD or USG environment
- A Current or Active DoD Security Clearance (minimum Secret) at the time of hire
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- An Associates or Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Computer Technologies, Cyber Security, Engineering, Mathematics, or another field related to the Cyber Security domain
- Ability to multi-task, pay close attention to detail, and work in a fast pace environment.
- Computer skills:
- Candidate must be highly organized and self-motivated with excellent documentation skills.
- Candidate should be able to communicate effectively with customers and team members at all levels.
- Demonstrated Windows administrative experience with a solid understanding of PowerShell and Windows automation functions
- A solid background patching, active directory, DNS, DHCP, and event log management.
- Experience in implementing and configuring Trellix/McAfee, Tenable Nessus, PowerStrux, Splunk, and Veritas Backup Exec Servers.
- Experience in implementing and configuring multiple VMWare or Windows Hyper-V virtualized servers.
- Experience in configuring and maintaining Cisco Catalyst Switches.
- Current or past CCNA/DevNet certifications are a plus
- Experience in configuring and maintaining Triplite and APC Uninterruptible Power Supply systems.
- Robust network troubleshooting experience.
- Minimum of IAT II Certifications
- CompTIA - Linux , Security , CySA , CASP
- ISC2’s – CISSP
- ISACA – CISA, CRISC, CISM
