Household Manager/Family Assistant
30-40 hours per week
$23,500-$32,000 per year with paid time off
Position Summary
We are seeking a highly organized, trustworthy and proactive Household Manager/Family Assistant to oversee the daily operations of a busy household. This individual will manage household systems, provide transportation and companionship support for an elderly family member, assist with childcare on school breaks/holidays, coordinate appointments and vendors, maintain household organization, and ensure the home runs smoothly while the homeowner is working or traveling.
The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, discreet, compassionate and capable of independently managing multiple responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
Household Management
Oversee all daily household operations
Create and maintain household schedules and routines
Manage family calendars and appointments
Coordinate home maintenance and repairs for multiple homes
Schedule and supervise service providers and contractors
Maintain household inventories and supplies
Manage grocery ordering
Handle returns, errands and miscellaneous tasks
Organize household paperwork and records
Housekeeping
Perform weekly deep cleaning
Daily tidying and organization
Laundry
Change bed linens
Maintain kitchen cleanliness
Keep common areas organized and guest-ready
Manage seasonal projects
Elder Care Support
Transport elderly family member to appointments/activities
Provide companionship
Communicate updates to family
Childcare
Provide childcare for two preschool children on Fridays and some school breaks (holidays).
Provide transportation occasionally to activities.
Personal Assistant Duties
Manage family travel logistics
Assist with reservations and scheduling
Coordinate special events and family gatherings
Run personal errands
Maintain family contacts and important information
Support homeowners during travel
Qualifications
Valid driver’s license
Experience in household management, elder care, nannying or related field
Excellent organizational skills
Ability to work independently
Strong communication skills
Detail oriented with strong sense of initiative

Ideal Weekly Schedule
Monday – 8am-4pm - Deep clean home
Tuesday (8am-1pm), Wednesday (8am-12pm), Thursday (8am-1pm) – Household reset, laundry, grocery ordering, errands, appointments, etc
Fridays – 8am-4pm Childcare and household tidying
Pay: $23,500.00 - $32,000.00 per year
