Role Description
Honeycomb Strategies is seeking a Business Development Partner — Market Research & Insights to help open new client relationships and drive growth for the firm.
This is a commission-based business development role to start, with the potential to evolve into a base-plus-commission or salaried leadership role as agreed revenue/run-rate milestones are reached.
The right person will be comfortable identifying prospective clients, initiating conversations, building trusted relationships, and helping uncover opportunities where market research and customer insights can support business growth. This role is well suited for someone who understands consultative selling and can speak credibly with marketing, insights, product, innovation, customer experience, and executive stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will be able to listen for business challenges, recognize where research can help, and collaborate with the firm’s principal to shape the right solution.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities with organizations that may need market research, insights, or growth strategy support.
- Build relationships with prospective clients across marketing, insights, product, innovation, customer experience, and leadership teams.
- Lead early-stage outreach, qualification, and business development conversations.
- Help uncover client needs and connect those needs to relevant Honeycomb Strategies services.
- Collaborate on proposal development, scoping, pricing, and follow-up.
- Maintain visibility into active prospects, pipeline activity, and next steps.
- Represent Honeycomb Strategies in a professional, credible, and consultative manner.
Qualifications
- Experience in business development, consultative sales, client development, or account growth.
- Ability to build relationships with senior decision-makers and uncover business needs through thoughtful conversation.
- Strong communication, listening, and follow-up skills.
- Comfort selling professional services, consulting, research, marketing services, strategy, analytics, or related B2B solutions.
- Understanding of market research, customer insights, brand strategy, innovation, customer experience, or analytics is strongly preferred.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and comfort working in an early-stage growth role.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with the firm’s principal.
- Existing relationships with marketing, insights, innovation, customer experience, or executive decision-makers are a plus.
Compensation
This is a commission-based role to start. The structure is intended to reward new business development and may evolve into a base-plus-commission or salaried role once agreed revenue/run-rate milestones are reached.
Work Arrangement
Flexible / remote-friendly, candidates should be able to support clients and prospects in U.S. business hours.
