Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs, including product demonstrations when appropriate
- Operate the cash register accurately, handling all retail sales transactions with precision and efficiency
- Manage cash drawer handling and ensure proper cash handling procedures are followed at all times
- Perform stocking duties to ensure shelves are well-organized, fully stocked, and visually appealing
- Engage customers through upselling techniques to promote additional products and enhance sales performance
- Maintain excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely
- Provide comprehensive product knowledge to customers, supporting their purchasing decisions and fostering loyalty
Skills
- Proficiency in POS (Point of Sale) systems and cash register operations
- Previous supervising experience in a retail environment is a plus
- Ability to conduct product demos confidently and effectively
- Bilingual communication skills to serve diverse customer needs
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Knowledge of retail math for accurate transactions and cash handling procedures
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with customers and team members
- Familiarity with merchandising principles to maintain attractive product displays
- Basic math skills for balancing cash drawers and processing transactions accurately
- Experience in retail sales, upselling, and promoting store products effectively
