Responsibilities
- Supervise and support team members in their daily tasks, ensuring high levels of performance and productivity.
- Conduct employee orientation and training programs to foster skill development and enhance team capabilities.
- Manage scheduling, payroll, and inventory control to optimize store operations.
- Engage in recruiting efforts, including interviewing candidates and onboarding new employees.
- Oversee merchandising strategies, pricing, and promotional activities to drive sales growth.
- Maintain effective communication with staff regarding company policies, procedures, and performance expectations.
- Implement cash handling procedures and ensure compliance with financial protocols.
- Monitor inventory levels and manage purchasing decisions to meet customer demand.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and enhancing the overall shopping experience.
- Utilize retail math skills for budgeting, sales management, and financial reporting.
Experience
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience in retail management or a similar supervisory role.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence others positively.
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and bookkeeping practices.
- Experience in training & development of staff members to enhance their skills.
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for effective communication with diverse customers.
