ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Approach, greet, and offer-assistance or direction to any customer who enters the dealership showroom or sales lot
- Manage and oversee the entire dealership’s inventory of new and used vehicles
- Verify receipt of vehicles delivered to the dealership, and ensure the vehicles are parked and kept in an orderly manner on the lot
- Compare and verify VINs of incoming vehicles to the matching invoice
- Conduct proper inventory procedures, to confirm assigned stock numbers and entries are made within the system
- Inspect vehicles for damage and verify presence of accessories listed on the invoice
- Record a description of any damages and list any missing items on the delivery receipt, and conduct proper reports, as assigned
- Park vehicles in the assigned area based on the model or dealership standards
- Follow appropriate procedures on all vehicles following a sale, to maximize use of space and maintain order on the sales lot
- Manage and oversee sale porters, ensuring proper staffing at all times
- Display high level of commitment to customer satisfaction
- Conduct business in an ethical and professional manner
- Acknowledge and comply with the deferral, state, and local laws that govern retain auto sales, and following all sale protocols
- Provide effective communication with the sales team to ensure proper key storage, etc.
- Performs other job-related duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time
- Maintain professional appearance in accordance with the employee handbook
- Maintain a clean and professional work environment
- Expected to arrive to work on time and work required shift
- Interact effectively with co-workers
- Receive job-related feedback from supervisor in a positive manner
- Lead and manage others well
- Take part in manager meetings, if invited.
- Work experience in sales and/or inventory; dealership experience preferred
- Demonstrate knowledge within the area of automotive sales and inventory operations
- Advanced computer skills, specifically in Reynolds & Reynolds
