Staff Accountant I

We are looking for a diligent Staff Accountant to join our accounting department. In this role, you will assist in the preparation of monthly and year-end closings, fixed asset maintenance, journal entries, bank reconciliations, and general ledger reconciliations. Your responsibilities will also cover various aspects of internal and external reporting. This role will report to our Lincoln, RI location and will be full-time, Monday- Friday, 7:30-4pm.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts.
• Preparing journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations as part of the monthly close processes.
• Performing monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Meeting processing and reporting deadlines.
• Responding to information requests both internal and external.
• Ensuring compliance with GAAP.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Working knowledge of GAAP.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Good problem-solving and time management skills.
• Highly organized and detail oriented.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software, and accounting software

Education and Experience:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance, required.
