Housekeeping Attendant

Job Summary

Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of residential and commercial spaces, including dusting, surface cleaning, floor care, and carpet cleaning using appropriate cleaning equipment and detergents.
• Implement proper sanitation procedures to ensure hygiene standards are met or exceeded in all areas.
• Handle laundry tasks such as washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens or clothing items with care.
• Maintain cleanliness of floors through sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and specialized floor care techniques.
• Use janitorial supplies responsibly while adhering to safety guidelines for manual handling and heavy lifting.
• Communicate effectively with clients to understand their specific cleaning needs and provide exceptional customer service.
• Manage time efficiently to complete assigned tasks within scheduled periods while maintaining high-quality standards.

Requirements

• Proven experience in residential or commercial cleaning, custodial work, or hotel housekeeping is preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning surfaces, floor cleaning methods, carpet cleaning techniques, and sanitation procedures.
• Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, steam cleaners, and other janitorial tools.
• Ability to handle heavy lifting safely and perform outdoor work when necessary.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration.
• Basic understanding of cleaning detergents and disinfectants along with proper usage protocols.
• Prior experience in outdoor work environments or residential housekeeping is a plus.
