Duties
- Operate garment care machines such as industrial washers and dryers to clean hotel linens, towels, uniforms, and other textiles
- Handle laundry materials with care, ensuring proper sorting, loading, and unloading of items using push carts and other equipment
- Follow safety protocols for manual handling and heavy lifting to prevent injuries during material handling tasks
- Maintain sanitation standards by using appropriate laundry detergents and cleaning agents in accordance with safety standards in production
- Monitor machine operations to ensure optimal performance and troubleshoot any issues promptly
- Assist with the organization and storage of clean textiles to facilitate efficient laundry flow
- Provide excellent customer service by responding to guest requests for laundry services promptly and professionally
Requirements
- Previous experience in cleaning or laundry services is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and pushing carts safely
- Basic math skills for measuring detergents and calculating loads accurately
- Knowledge of safety standards in production environments, including proper use of laundry detergents and safety equipment
- Strong attention to detail for garment care and textile cleaning processes
- Ability to operate garment care machinery such as industrial washers, dryers, and garment care machines effectively
- Good physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks with energy and enthusiasm
