Infant Lead Teacher
Hometown Health Center Childcare Program
Hometown Health Center is seeking a compassionate and dependable Infant Lead Teacher to create a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment for infants. This role leads classroom operations, supports assistant teachers, and partners closely with families to support infant growth and care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement age-appropriate curriculum for infants
- Maintain a safe, clean, and nurturing classroom environment
- Lead and support classroom staff
- Communicate daily with families through the Procare app
- Ensure compliance with licensing, health, and safety regulations
- Participate in required trainings, meetings, and DHHS requirements
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years old
- CDA, Maine-approved credential, or qualifying childcare/college experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- CPR/First Aid (or willingness to obtain)
- Must pass DHHS background checks
- Registered with Maine Roads to Quality or willing to become registered
Preferred:
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
