Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Homemaker/In-Home Caregiver to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in their homes. Responsibilities

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene to promote dignity and independence.
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary.
• Monitor patients’ vital signs and observe changes in health status, documenting findings accurately while adhering to HIPAA privacy regulations.
• Support medication administration following care plans and ensure proper handling of medications in compliance with safety protocols.
• Facilitate safe patient transfers using equipment like Hoyer lifts or patient transfer methods, ensuring manual handling safety standards are met.
• Maintain a clean and organized living environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing spaces.
• Provide companionship and emotional support while engaging clients in meaningful activities to enhance mental well-being.
• Support clients during medical appointments or community outings by providing personal transportation assistance and ensuring safety throughout.

Requirements

• Prior experience working as a homemaker or in-home caregiver within group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health settings.
• Knowledge of patient observation techniques, dementia care (including Alzheimer’s and memory care), and neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism.
• Familiarity with care plans, medication administration, patient monitoring, vital signs measurement, and resident’s rights.
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely using equipment like Hoyer lifts; capable of heavy lifting when necessary.
• Certifications in CPR and First Aid are required; additional training in hospice care or geriatrics is a plus.
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or intellectual disabilities is highly valued.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and their families while maintaining confidentiality per HIPAA standards.

Pay: $14.50 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 40.0 per week
