Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensures proper use of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE)
- Demonstrates defensive driving skills
- Able to park and back up vehicles
- Understands work-zone, landing-zone, drop-zone guideline
- Performs job site hazard inspection
- Performs traffic control
- Sets up and positions woodchipper
- Demonstrates proper woodchipper operation
- Equipment preparation and start up
- Able to do basic knots and rope handling
- Being mindful about safety and avoiding struck-by injuries
- Dragging and stacking brush and other materials
- Operation and storage of chain saws, gas and oil, and other equipment
- *MUST* hold a Class-A CDL license
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Must be able to bend and stand for long periods of time
- Diligent attention to detail and safety
- Excellent verbal communication and customer orientation
- Must pass a background check and drug test
- Working conditions sometimes include both high heat and cold temperatures
- Physically Demanding - requires considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.
- Starting pay is $20-24/hr
- Pay is determined by experience, skill, education, and other factors
