Job Summary
Homeland is proud to partner with a leading healthcare organization in the Tri-Cities region who is seeking a Director of Finance to join their leadership team. Reporting directly to the CFO, this high-impact role will lead budgeting, forecasting, operational analytics, and executive decision support.
The Director of Finance will act as a strategic advisor to senior leadership, transforming complex financial data into actionable insights that drive performance and operational excellence. Responsibilities
- Lead forecasting and monthly financial reporting for two hospital sites
- Conduct productivity and volume variance analysis and design customized reports to meet leadership needs
- Translate complex operational and financial data into executive-ready dashboards and presentations
- Serve as a strategic financial partner to senior leadership (CEO, CFO, CNO), providing real-time insights and recommendations
- Collaborate with division-level finance leaders to interpret market performance and key business drivers
- Support operational teams by connecting financial outcomes to field-level trends and performance metrics
- Contribute to the annual budget process, including EBITDA reconciliation, volume, staffing, and physician services budget planning
- Drive cost improvement initiatives across departments to enhance financial efficiency and sustainability
- Analyze financial data using Oracle and maintain data integrity across Affinity and Cerner systems
- Partner with clinical and administrative leaders to achieve revenue cycle and operational performance goals
- Work closely with various teams to ensure accurate journal postings, accounts payable coding, supplier payment processing, fixed asset capitalization, and balance sheet review
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (required); Master’s degree preferred
- 5–8 years of experience in healthcare finance or decision support within a hospital or health system
- Minimum of 2 years in a leadership or supervisory capacity, ideally within a market-facing or multi-site environment
- Proficiency with Oracle; experience with Affinity and Cerner systems preferred
- Proven ability to analyze, interpret, and communicate complex financial data
- Demonstrated experience presenting actionable insights and strategic recommendations to executive leadership
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and disciplines
