Director of Finance - Healthcare

Job Summary

Homeland is proud to partner with a leading healthcare organization in the Tri-Cities region who is seeking a Director of Finance to join their leadership team. Reporting directly to the CFO, this high-impact role will lead budgeting, forecasting, operational analytics, and executive decision support.

The Director of Finance will act as a strategic advisor to senior leadership, transforming complex financial data into actionable insights that drive performance and operational excellence. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced healthcare finance professional to shape financial strategy and contribute to the continued success of a highly respected hospital system.

Responsibilities

• Lead forecasting and monthly financial reporting for two hospital sites
• Conduct productivity and volume variance analysis and design customized reports to meet leadership needs
• Translate complex operational and financial data into executive-ready dashboards and presentations
• Serve as a strategic financial partner to senior leadership (CEO, CFO, CNO), providing real-time insights and recommendations
• Collaborate with division-level finance leaders to interpret market performance and key business drivers
• Support operational teams by connecting financial outcomes to field-level trends and performance metrics
• Contribute to the annual budget process, including EBITDA reconciliation, volume, staffing, and physician services budget planning
• Drive cost improvement initiatives across departments to enhance financial efficiency and sustainability
• Analyze financial data using Oracle and maintain data integrity across Affinity and Cerner systems
• Partner with clinical and administrative leaders to achieve revenue cycle and operational performance goals
• Work closely with various teams to ensure accurate journal postings, accounts payable coding, supplier payment processing, fixed asset capitalization, and balance sheet review

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (required); Master’s degree preferred
• 5–8 years of experience in healthcare finance or decision support within a hospital or health system
• Minimum of 2 years in a leadership or supervisory capacity, ideally within a market-facing or multi-site environment
• Proficiency with Oracle; experience with Affinity and Cerner systems preferred
• Proven ability to analyze, interpret, and communicate complex financial data
• Demonstrated experience presenting actionable insights and strategic recommendations to executive leadership
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and disciplines

Benefits
