Responsibilities
- Development of manufacturing work instructions.
- Assist in developing and refining manufacturing processes for various products, including circuit card assembly, mechanical assembly, and electronic solder operations.
- Conduct root cause analysis on production issues to identify underlying problems and implement effective corrective actions.
- Program and troubleshoot robotic automation systems, vision inspection systems and soldering systems.
- Participate in lean manufacturing initiatives and Six Sigma projects aimed at reducing waste and improving process efficiency.
- Assist in the setup and calibration of industrial equipment, including pick-and-place machines, and industrial automation tools.
- Collaborate with engineering teams on process engineering tasks such as tooling design, mechanical troubleshooting, and system schematics.
- Support factory operations by gaining hands-on experience with assembly line processes, fabrication techniques, and industrial equipment maintenance skills.
Desired Skills:
- Strong root cause analysis skills combined with practical experience in troubleshooting manufacturing issues.
- Familiarity with CAD software such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks for technical drawing creation.
- Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), robot programming, CNC programming (CAM), and industrial automation systems.
- Experience with electronics manufacturing processes and associated tooling design considerations.
- Understanding of lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies for process optimization.
- Ability to interpret schematics, GD&T (geometric dimensioning & tolerancing), and technical documentation related to industrial equipment.
- Mechanical knowledge relevant to assembly line operations, fabrication techniques, soldering processes, tooling design, and mechanical troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with vision inspection systems and industrial equipment used in modern manufacturing facilities.
- Strong analytical skills for engineering data analysis and process improvement initiatives.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating across teams in a fast-paced environment.
Desired Education:
- 2 or 4 year degree in any engineering field or equivalent experience.
