The role:
We’re looking for an AI Research Engineer with deep expertise in multi-agent systems who thrives at the bleeding edge of applied AI and orchestration.
In this role, you will
- Research and prototype novel architectures: You will tackle the hardest problem in multi-agent systems - turning probabilistic model outputs into highly reliable, deterministic actions for high-stakes financial and legal decisions.
- Push the boundaries of agentic systems by:
- Building reasoning and memory systems that adapt to the unstructured, highly unpredictable reality of real estate transactions.
- Enabling reliable execution across fragmented real-world interfaces.
- Engineering high-trust personalization that decodes complex user intent and maintains context over long horizons without compromising privacy or accuracy.
- Designing evaluation pipelines and guardrails to ensure a safe, aligned, and auditable system before it reaches the user.
- Drive technical architecture: You will influence the product roadmap and help define our technical vision as we scale.
- Ship career-defining work: You will build foundational systems from scratch, leaving your fingerprints on a product that fundamentally changes a massive industry.

Who you are:
- You have a PhD (or equivalent research experience) in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, or a related field with demonstrated research expertise in one or more of the following areas:
- Automated Planning or Resource-Bounded Reasoning
- Multi-Agent Systems or Distributed AI
- Neuro-Symbolic AI or Knowledge Representation
- Intelligent User Interfaces and Human-AI Interaction
- You are an end-to-end builder: You don't just hand off models; you are comfortable owning the implementation and scaling of the AI systems you design.
- You are located within a commutable distance to Palo Alto, CA.
