- Perform thorough cleaning of rooms, common areas, and outdoor spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment and detergents
- Dust surfaces, vacuum carpets, mop floors, and handle floor care with precision to maintain pristine conditions
- Implement sanitation procedures consistently to ensure health standards are met or exceeded
- Manage laundry tasks including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens and uniforms
- Use manual handling techniques safely when lifting heavy objects or moving furniture and cleaning supplies
- Communicate effectively with clients or residents to understand their cleaning needs and provide exceptional customer service
- Maintain cleaning schedules, document completed tasks, and ensure all equipment is properly stored and maintained
Experience
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience in residential, hotel, or commercial settings is preferred
- Familiarity with cleaning surfaces, floor cleaning methods, carpet cleaning, and outdoor work experience is advantageous
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures involving sanitation standards and the use of cleaning detergents is essential
- Experience with cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, steam cleaners, and other janitorial tools is beneficial
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently throughout the workday
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks with care
- Excellent client communication skills to ensure customer satisfaction in residential housekeeping environments
