Duties
- Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping operations across all hotel areas, including guest rooms, corridors, public spaces, and staff facilities.
- Develop and implement cleaning schedules, ensuring timely completion of tasks while maintaining high standards of sanitation and appearance.
- Train and motivate housekeeping staff on proper cleaning techniques, use of cleaning equipment, chemical handling procedures, and safety data sheets (SDS).
- Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies, chemicals, and equipment; place orders as needed to ensure seamless operations.
- Conduct regular inspections to verify cleanliness standards are met; address any deficiencies promptly with coaching or corrective actions.
- Enforce hotel emergency procedures related to sanitation incidents or safety hazards; ensure compliance with health regulations and safety protocols.
- Maintain detailed records of sanitation procedures, incident reports, safety data sheets (SDS), and training documentation.
- Promote a culture of safety by adhering to proper manual handling practices and heavy lifting techniques during cleaning tasks.
- Foster excellent customer service by responding promptly to guest requests or concerns related to housekeeping services.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in hotel housekeeping management or custodial roles within hospitality settings.
- Strong knowledge of floor care techniques including vacuuming, industrial cleaning, and floor cleaning equipment operation.
- Familiarity with chemical agent handling, sanitation standards, and safety data sheets (SDS).
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and customer service.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure.
- Knowledge of hotel emergency procedures and compliance requirements related to health and safety regulations.
- Physical stamina for manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking.
- Exceptional communication skills to train staff and interact professionally with guests and management.
