- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in direct support or a related field preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt to different needs and personalities.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in supporting others.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Completion of relevant training programs or certifications.
- Knowledge of best practices in supporting individuals with disabilities.
- Must be able to recognize that disability is a label and not a description
- Must be 18 years old or older
- Must have a car
- Must have valid driver's license and good driving record
- Must be willing to have a background check
- Must be be willing to take a drug screening
- Must be authorized to legally work in the United States
