POSITION SUMMARY:

The Finisher role means belonging to a great team. The Finisher is also considered a shop/warehouse position assisting in loading and unloading trucks, assisting with inventory management, and ensuring order accuracy upon arrival. As a Finisher you will be required to examine the product, identify damaged areas, disassemble basic parts, and complete all aspects of custom wood finishing. The Finisher will have a good eye for detail and finish items to meet the needs of our customers. This position is a 6-month seasonal position with the opportunity to become fulltime after. Monday-Friday days

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

· Inspecting wood for imperfections and physical damage

· Disassemble and prep all product for finishing process

· Remove and repair imperfections

· Sanding and smoothing in preparation for finishing

· Selecting and applying finishing products such as stain

· Strong attention to detail and ability to notice defects

· Measure and cut wood to job specifics

· Load and unload windows and doors

· Maintain a clean and safe work environment

· Performs other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty independently and satisfactorily. Must be able to communicate effectively in both oral and written form and interface with all departments. Must maintain absolute confidentiality. Must be able to multi-task, be accurate, have good organizational skills and handle high levels of stress. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

· High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience

· Knowledge of staining and finishing techniques preferred

· Excellent hand-eye coordination

· Good communication skills

· Experience with hand and power tools

· Must possess attention to detail

· Hold high standard of integrity

WORKING CONDITIONS:

· Occasionally ascends/descends ladder

· Ability to lift up to 75lbs

· Ability to stand, stoop, kneel

· Operates power tools

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
