The Role 

As our MIT, you will learn all aspects of managing a convenience store from inventory management to store level marketing.  Your role will include merchandising, ordering, housekeeping, loss prevention, people management, staffing, performance management, and ensuring compliance with all company policies and store standards.  

Key Responsibilities 

• Learn and understand all aspects of store operations including inventory management, store-level marketing, cash handling and store maintenance. 

• Assist in the management of staff, including hiring, training and coaching where needed. 

• Develop strong product knowledge to answer customer queries and make recommendations. 

• Assist in meeting and exceeding store sales goals.  

• Ensure the store is clean, safe and in order, in compliance with company and regulatory standards.  

• Learn to analyze sales data and trends to make informed decisions.  

• Build and maintain positive relationships with vendors, customers, and staff. 

Who are we looking for?

Working environment and physical demands 

This active role operates in a retail environment with coolers, freezers, and merchandising displays with items available for purchase.  The position requires regular talking and hearing and physical activities such as standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing.  The successful candidate will lift and/or move items over 50 pounds and must have specific vision abilities. 

Hours of work 

Depending on schedule and availability, this person may be required to help cover evening, weekend, overnight or holiday shifts, when needed.
